Reasons to Conference Cruise

Cruising the Classroom—Innovation for Tomorrow’s Teachers

Some of the great advantages of an IGAEA 2008 Cruise Conference are:

When was the last time you were excited about an IGAEA Conference for you and the whole family to attend?
Families up to four can share the same cabin with the children at a reduced rate. Friends and extended family members are also invited to attend.

When was the last time you planned for a vacation and IGAEA Conference for the entire family?
Easy budgeting for the conference with all costs for accommodations and meals up front when deposited, which means a firm conference price when you complete the registration forms and mail in your deposit check. The only decision you and your family will have is; do we spend an extra day or two in Orlando or Port Canaveral before or after the conference?

Don’t worry about what your guest or children are doing when you are mixing with industry leaders and learning about new classroom teaching techniques…
A variety of structured leisure time activities are available day and night to satisfy diverse interests for children in Camp Carnival and youth in Club O2. Stay on the boat and enjoy all the amenities or disembark and take a tour in 4 different ports. Entertainment is varied so everyone from the young to the old will enjoy the activities.

Are you, your guest or children tired of the same cafeteria food or have special needs for food and meal preparation?
From gourmet chefs to barbeque grills, meals are all ordered from full menus or midnight buffets, sit-down restaurant style, quick on the go meals and all at a variety of times for the family members that sleeps late. All are unique and memorable not only for the participant, but the guest and children too! 24-hour room service is also availiable.

Conferences are good, but a Cruise Conference is Great!

  • Excellent classroom related presentations with projects you can take directly back to your school for fall semester, hard copy and electronic documents.
  • Exciting and beautiful ports of call
  • Nightly shipboard entertainment and membership socials
  • Las Vegas style shows
  • Four pools, movie theater, discos, dancing, casinos, jazz bars and a spa
  • All you can eat with a variety of restaurants and 24-hour room service
  • Excellent accommodations with your choice of category with fresh towels and linens daily.

Facts about a Cruise Conference:
Early-Bird Registration is open as of May 1, 2007. A deposit is required, per person, to hold the pricing and room category. Once the cabins on reserve are sold out, even with the Early-Bird pricing dates still in effect, new cabins, at the going-rate, will be reserved changing the registration pricing for those who did not get their deposits in early.

The conference pricing will include the cruise, port charges, and government taxes; all meals; onboard activities; the educational IGAEA programs and IGAEA special events. The only remaining expenses to the attending members and their families will be transportation to and from the departure port; the group insurance premium per person; a US Passport if you don’t already own one (the US Govt. will require all citizens leaving the US to have a Passport, even when traveling to Canada and Mexico); airport transfers to the pier; on-board cruise service tipping; and extra shore excursion tours you select and book for additional charges.
